Users were expecting Windows 9 after the previous 8.1 but it was quite surprising that Microsoft Skipped 9 and released Windows 10. In this latest version of microsoft windows 10 has new look of Metro Style UI (User Interface) and Microsoft had to take a new step to create a Mixture of Windows 7 and Windows 8 to create the latest Windows 10.
Requirements For Windows 10 (Minimum)
1) OS To upgrade:- You will need Service Pack 1 (SP1) Of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1( Windows installed must be a genuine one otherwise no update will avail to you).
2) Processor : 1 GHz or faster processor or SoC (system on a chip). 64-bit versions of Windows 10 require a processor that supports CMPXCHG16b, PrefetchW, and LAHF/SAHF capabilities.
3) RAM: Atleast 1 GB for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit
4) Hard Disk Space: 16 GB for 32-bit or 20 GB for 64-bit
5) Graphics : DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver.
6) Display or Resolution : 1024 x 600.
Touch: For multi touch support tablet or Windows device.
7) Microsoft account: Required for some features.
8) Cortana support : Only supported in the United States, United Kingdom, China, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
9) Windows Hello Face Recognition : Infrared camera for facial recognition or iris detection, or a finger print reader which supports the Window Biometric Framework.
10) Media streaming: Xbox Music and Xbox Video streaming capabilities available only in certain regions.

Upgrading From Windows 7/8 to 10 - Method 1
1) First, Make sure you have genuine Windows 7 or 8. Because Windows 10 update is only available for genuine version.
2) Now, Goto control panel →Windows Update
3) Now click on install update & downloading process will starts.
4) When the downloading process completes, Your PC rebooted automatically & Then you are entered to Windows 10
